What is the RAISE Technique?

The Raise Technique is an acronym of 5 tips & tricks to help take your sales and production to the next level. For many of you that’s earning pro agent status.

Round UP

Round up to the next flat dollar amount. When you provide a quote instead of saying that it will be $10 weekly for $26,144 face amount of coverage. Instead, it will be $30,000 for $11.20 weekly. A small increase in that coverage is worth it! (The additional $3400 in face amount benefit for only $1.20 more a week)

Add a Buck

If you normally quote a member at $8 a week as affordable, increase it to $9 and go for the closing. Add a buck from where you normally begin your pitch.

Income (Salary)

When showing face amounts start at 1- 2 x annual salary (annual) or 1-2 hours’ worth of pay (weekly).  When going with weekly salary always try “Add a Buck”

Starting Point

Know where you are going to start, be consciously aware, and know how to move forward from there.  Do you quote premium or amount first? Did you use the annual or hourly salary to get to your recommendation? Where you start isn’t where you will end up, but you can’t end up somewhere if you don’t start!

Everyone

Coverage is designed to cover a member and their entire family. Covering only one person is a disservice to the member and to you. Family coverage is more meaningful and tends to last longer. Cover the members, spouse/DP, children, and grandchildren. Don’t leave insureds unprotected and money on the table.
