How to Sign Into Your Work Machine

Step 1: Power On

  • Press the power button on your laptop or tablet.
  • Ensure it is plugged in and charged before starting your shift.

Step 2: Enter Credentials

  • Username: Your work login is always your first initial + last name (e.g., JPublic, KMeredith)
  • Password: Use your VPN password. This is the same password you use when logging into Cisco AnyConnect and CRM 10. This is provided to you by IT during the initial setup of your machine.

Step 3: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  • Unlock your phone and approve the Duo Push notification.
  • You have only a few seconds to approve — if you miss it, retry the login

Step 4: If Login Fails ?

  • Check Username & Password: If you see an error, it usually means your credentials are incorrect
  • Reset Attempt: First close the login window and start again from step 1.
  • Internet Connection: Ensure you are connected to the internet before trying to sign in.
  • Account Lockout: After multiple failed tries, your account may lock. Contact IT Help Desk at PFPSupport@familysecurityplan.com or dial x2222 from your Webex phone for assistance

Step 5: Tablet & Laptop Setup

  • Always keep your tablet/laptop plugged in overnight so it’s fully charged by morning
  • Leave the lid open when restarting at the end of your shift — this allows IT to push daily updates
  • Do not install unauthorized software or surf the web; your device is strictly for work applications (CRM, LG, Webex, Outlook)
  • When stepping away from your machine, lock your machine to prevent unauthorized access.

Step 6: Connecting Peripherals

  • Monitors: Use your dual-screen setup if available. Screen 1 should run CRM, Screen 2 for Lg, or whatever is comfortable for you.
  • Headset: Connect your USB headset before logging into Webex or CRM. This ensures your audio is properly routed.
  • Ethernet Cable: Hardwire into the internet whenever possible (especially for LG Sync MiFi is not recommended)

Step 7: VPN Connection

  • Locate the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Client on your desktop and connect to PFP-AnyConnect
  • Approve the Duo Push on your phone within 7 seconds. Failure 3 times will lock your account

Step 8: Daily software Start-Up Order

Always start software in this order to avoid errors

  1. VPN
  2. Webex IM & Phone
  3. LG Connected (Production)
  4. CRM 10 (Production)
  5. Outlook Email ✉️

Weekly/Monthly Maintenance

  • Every Monday: Clear your CRM 10 cache
  • Every Wednesday: Run LG Sync → Get New Code → Restart computer
  • Restart your computer daily to apply IT updates

Hardware Do’s & Don’ts

  • ✅ Keep cords neatly plugged in — avoid yanking.
  • ✅ Keep member information private and confidential by locking and protecting machine.
  • ❌ Don’t eat/drink near your tablet
  • ❌ Don’t use backspace/refresh page in LG — it can corrupt applications

Tip: If you encounter hardware issues, contact IT Help Desk at PFPSupport@familysecurityplan.com or dial x2222 from your Webex phone.
